Douglas Loyd Jones ("Doug") is a 44 year-old native of Texas. The youngest of four children, he says that "the loudest pup got the most food," so singing came quite naturally. Dr. Jones fell in love with choral conducting in high school and took his undergraduate degree from Sam Houston State University. He has performed under the baton of many renowned conductors including Dr. Beverly Henson, Dr. Robert Shaw and Christoph Eschenbach among many others. He earned his Masters of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Houston and has conducted numerous recitals and concerts with university, church, synagogue, civic and school choruses. Dr. Jones is going into his 8th year at Klein High School.
